On November 6th I had my 20 week ultrasound.  We have been crossing our fingers for a little girl, but have been placing bets on a boy.  We found out that our little baby is a girl!  I know I posted earlier that we were probably having another boy, but I was only 13 weeks when I had that ultrasound.  I think I was looking for anything to be the little pee pee.  I didn't want to set myself up for disappointment.   Anyway, we were pretty shocked and also very excited about the news.  When I told Riley he said, "I told you so!"  He always thought that he was going to have a baby sister next, even before I was pregnant.  Throughout my pregnancy I had had a gut feeling that it was a girl, but I didn't want to let myself believe that.  Besides, it was easier to picture what another boy would be like.  But now that we know we have started thinking girl.  It has been so fun.  I already have a lot of pink stuff in the closet and we have picked out bedding and paint for her room.  Once we get her room done I will have to post a picture, I hope that it turns out as cute as I imagine.

Fall Break

During Fall Break, we took the boys up to ride the Heber Creeper.  On the way up we stopped and at Bridal Veil Falls.  It was a fun day.  The boys loved the train ride, they are both obsessed with trains.

Life...

Life is busy, but good.  I am teaching half day this year and loving it.  I have enjoyed spending more time with my kids, but I love that I still teach.  Travis is a graphic designer and loving every minute of it.  It is what he has always wanted to do.  Riley started preschool and is learning so many new things everyday.  I am amazed how fast he has grown up.   Troy is starting to talk more and more everyday.  His newest word  is no, when we tell him it's bedtime, he says no.  When we say it is time to get dressed, he says no.  He pretty much says no to everything, unless it's food.  I am fourteen weeks pregnant with our newest addition to the family.  I had my first ultrasound a couple of days ago.  My sister-n-law's mom does ultrasounds, but she isn't specialized in fetuses.  Anyway, it was fun to at least see my baby move.  We got a few shots of the baby that may have revealed that is a boy.  We are not completely positive, but we think it looks that way.  So for now, we are planning on having boy number 3!  I will keep you posted.  I will probably have another ultrasound in a couple of weeks.

Moon Lake 2008

We went to Moon Lake in June with Grandma and Grandpa.  It was a lot of fun.  Riley loved fishing and canoeing, Troy loved eating and playing in the dirt.   Riley caught a fish on his Lightning McQueen pole.   It was the biggest fish caught all trip.  Troy was a little explorer and kept me busy chasing him around camp.  We all loved sitting around the campfire at night cooking smores.

Riley's Preschool Graduation May 2008

Riley started his first year of preschool last fall.  He loved it and always looked forward to preschool days.  It is crazy that I have one old enough to go to preschool.  Time goes by so fast.  He learned to write his name, his abc's, how to count, and so much more.  I know it will seem like a blink of an eye when we look back at these at his high school graduation.  I don't like to think about that.  I wish they could just stay little forever.

Trying to catch Troy in a happy moment can be a little tricky.  We took these pictures at the spur of the moment so the lighting isn't all that great.  I love them though.  Who says flowers are for girls?  Riley picked the bouquet all by himself and gave it to me with a big I love you .  It was the first bouquet given to me by my own child.  Priceless!

Last June 2007, we went to Bryce Canyon for our Thatcher family reunion.  We did a lot of four wheeling and a little bit of hiking.  Troy was kind of a cry baby, so four wheeling was a little more enjoyable.  Every time we went on the four wheeler, he went to sleep.

We love boating!

This is our boat! We had a blast in it last Summer and can't wait until it is warm enough to take it out this year. Riley loves to swim, ride the tube, and wakeboard with his dad. Troy wasn't too sure about the water last year, and the boat pretty much lulled him to sleep. I bet he will enjoy it a little more this year. Travis loves to wakeboard and mastered is 360 and raley (superman) last year. It always makes Dorie a little nervous to see him crash. He also learned to surf behind the boat last year. Dorie just enjoys riding behind the boat and once in a while crossing the wake. Now that she is a mother of two, she isn't as daring and brave as she used to be. She did, however, start to catch a little air towards the end of the season. She thought she was hot stuff.

St. George February 2008

We took a quick trip down to St. George over President's Day weekend to enjoy the sun. We had lots of fun hiking around the red rocks. We played in the sun, went shopping, ate lots of good food, and swam in the pool. Riley loved it. He always is asking when we can go back.
